"Helping people with physical disabilities become more independent through the use of service dogs and the sharing of God's promises."

Our Dogs

Promising Partners uses mainly Golden Retrievers and Labrador Retrievers.    We receive these dogs from a number of sources including donations from breeders and rescue shelters.

If you are a breeder and are interested in donating a puppy from your next litter, please contact us today!  If you work at a rescue shelter and think you might have a dog who meets our requirements we would be happy to come see it!

Each dog must pass an initial temperament test to determine if it will be suitable for the type of work required of service dogs.  Also each dog is required to pass rigorous physical exam to ensure that the dog is in top physical condition and will not struggle with health problems in the future.

 Jax

Meet Jax!  Jax came to us through a generous donation from Family Golden Retrievers in Union Valley, OK.  He was raised in Pratt, KS by his puppy raiser, Pam.  Jax started formal training in June 2008 and will start training with his partner Addie at the end of February!  Thank you Pam and Family Goldens for helping us bring Jax into our program!

Cooper

Donated by the Great Bend Humane Society at 10 months, Cooper is almost four years old.    He is a beautiful golden retriever and especially loves chasing squirrels and swimming.  Because Cooper has demonstrated fear in many public settings we chose not to place him as a service dog.  Instead, he will be staying with Promising Partners to work as a full-time employee.  He gets to assist with presentations and demos.
